This phonograph is labeled "The Columbia Graphophone" patented May 4,1886. A wooden box contains the mechanism and has a tin amplifier horn that is 21" in diameter.
Graphophone and Columbia Records were awarded The Grand Prize at the Paris Exposition in 1900, the St. Louis Exposition in 1904, and the Milan Exposition in 1906.
