Physician's thermometer which screws into an aluminum case which has a chain with a pin attached. The thermometer could be pinned to the doctor (or nurse's) clothing.
This thermometer was used by Dr. Tanner Lowery of Bartow County.
Dr. Lowry began practicing medicine in 1904 in Euharlee, and later moved his practice to Cartersville, where he practiced until his death in 1942. He is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery.
